
LaRessa Quintana is a dedicated advocate for quality education and a passionate community leader serving as the elected Austin Independent School District (AISD) Board of Trustees, District 2 representative.
A fifth-generation Texan and the first in her family to attend and graduate from college, LaRessa’s journey is one of resilience and determination. Her early life was marked by instability as she navigated the foster care system, yet she excelled academically, finding purpose and strength in education. With the support of dedicated mentors and peers, she graduated with honors from the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders and earned a scholarship to attend Southwestern University.

Her professional journey includes experience as a Texas Capitol staffer, campaign manager for Councilwoman Vanessa Fuentes, digital organizer, and governmental affairs consultant. LaRessa remains deeply involved in community service, serving on the boards of American YouthWorks and The New Philanthropists, and as a past board member of the Young Hispanic Professional Association of Austin.
As an AISD Trustee, LaRessa is committed to advocating for policies that support students, educators, and families across the district. Her leadership focuses on ensuring equitable access to quality education, strengthening teacher support, and fostering strong community engagement. She remains dedicated to making a lasting impact on Austin’s public schools, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
